Mike Rudge and Annette Treacy from Ignition Components came in for their new website training. They are now ready to update their own content and we are also in the process of adding 2 more languages to the website to aid in securing more international trade for this long established client.
“We are very pleased with the new website and the process has been very simple through Clickingmad”

“The process of creating the website is one that can daunting for a lot of clients” says Shaun Carvill, managing Director of Clickingmad.
Mike and Annette worked very hard to ensure that the website was a major improvement on the old one. The website itself has been built in Joomla, a powerful content management system that Clickingmad has been working with for over 15 years.
“My team are currently providing the translated version for the client and then we will begin prmoitin g the website into the target countries as Google is totally focussed on location for its best search results.

“When designing modern websites we look to improve them dramatically from their older cousins” Shaun explains. “The previous website for IC as we call them, was somewhat dated, but was ‘of its time. We always work on the basis that there will be more traffic to the website from mobile devices than from desktop computers. Certainly there is more searching done on Google on mobile devices for about 2 years now” He said.

Clickingmad has over 100 tests it applies to newly built websites. One is usability. I.e how easy the website is to understand and to use and to help with Search Engine optimisation they also test for speed. By using a Google testing service they can determine how fast a website loads under normal conditions. This one has already passed the minimum benchmark of 90/100 that they set for themselves.

Finally, it would seem that Clickingmad’s SEO work is already starting to pay benefits. One month after the website is live they have managed to produce these results for Ignition Components:
